The environmental impacts with solar power can include land use and habitat loss, water use, and the types of impact vary greatly depending on the scale of the system and the technology used photovoltaic solar cells or concentrating solar thermal plants. Solar PV cells do not use water for generating electricity. However, as in all manufacturing processes, some water is used to manufacture solar PV components. While there are no global warming emissions associated with generating electricity from solar energy, there are emissions associated with other stages of the solar life-cycle, including manufacturing, materials transportation, installation, and maintenance. I think that solar panels are useful after it's built because it saves money to produce electricity rather than wasting money and burning fuels that produce pollution.
